hello! are you a chan lover? do you think all fics should include chan being loved and adored? then this is the fest for you!—what is this?
chan fest is a fanfiction fest centered around stray kids' bang chan. all fics must include a chan pairing as the main relationship. poly, ot8 & crossover fics are allowed (and encouraged!) as long as they're still chan-centric.—when is this?
the fest will be running from april to october. you will have the entire length of the fest to create a piece! we want this to be as low-stakes and stress-free as possible, so we will not be doing checkins.* as long as your work is complete by submissions on september 22, you’re good!—can i participate as a minor?
there are no age restrictions for this fest, anyone can participate! but you must be 18+ to claim a nsfw prompt.—what time zone is this fest in?
the fest will be operating in kst, since the mods figure it's a timezone everyone will be familiar with:]have any other questions or concerns? you can reach us via our twitter dms and/or our retrospring!

PROMPTING & CLAIMING

• prompting will be completely anonymous, and you're free to submit as many prompts as you'd like. remember, all prompts must include a chan ship!• while we do encourage prompters to include specific likes and dislikes, we ask that you keep your prompts open ended, so our writers have room to work :]• the mods reserve the right to delete any prompt and work that includes hateful content or sexual content involving minors.• all prompts should be in english. feel free to reach out to the fest mods if you require translation help!• anyone can prompt! you don't have to write for the fest to submit a prompt.• claiming will be first come, first serve. once a prompt is claimed, it will be unavailable. in the claiming form, you'll be able to include a second and third prompt choice, just in case your first option has already been claimed by someone else.• our writing period will be several months long, so if you finish writing your prompt and would like to claim another, you can! the more fics, the merrier!• writers, no prompts caught your eye? no worries! you will also have the option to self-prompt during the claiming period.

WRITING

• there is a word minimum of 500 words. as we said, we’re trying to keep this fest as low-stress as possible!• writers, please tag your works properly! the more detailed, the better. we want to ensure the safety & comfort of every fest participant :]• no plagiarism allowed! the mods reserve the right to remove any stolen or ai-generated works from the collection.• writers are not obligated to follow the prompts down to a T, but we ask that you please respect your prompter's hard-nos, if any.• all works will be anonymous until the reveal period, please refrain from publicly posting about your work until then-- everyone loves a surprise!
